Two Seasons in a Day

I step outside at 8 am and decide to wear a long sleeve shirt, pants, a blazer, and a jacket due to the cold weather.  Throughout the day I seem to get gradually warmer, so naturally I take off my blazer then BOOM! … my whole outfit is ruined!  This is commonly known as the “Two Seasons in a Day” syndrome, which generally occurs during the months of October and November.  Here are some ways to remedy this problem.

Try throwing on a cardigan over the already layered look to add warmth and style.  Just make sure you still have a look when you take the cardigan off later in the day!

Talbots (skirt): $16.00; BCBG (top): $16.00; Dear Creatures (top): $56.00;

Geneva (cardigan): $48.00; NWT (belt): $48.00

Just put on a scarf to keep you warm in the morning and just remove it when you get hot!  It’s an easy way to add to a look and to your body heat!

  Vivienne Tam (skirt): $36.00; AntiliaFemme (blouse): $16.00;

Hazel (vest): $40.00; Scarf: $20.00; Talbot’s (scarf): $16.00

Instead of putting on a blazer or cardigan try a crocheted or wool vest to keep you warm, but

make sure you’ve got a cute little look underneath the vest!

Express (jeans): $20.00; Coldwater Creek (top):$24.00; BCBG (vest): $40.00;

Boden (top): $20.00; Express (belt): $16.00

For this look try wearing tights or leggings with leg warmers instead of jeans and take them off later in the day.

You can still be styling and comfortable in your clothes if you just plan ahead!

Good luck in this weather!

Ciao Bellas!

Love,

    Thanks Tracy for the “two seasons in a day” concept. It helps me consider what I’ll wear for happiness all day long!
